Welcome to the Michigan Justice Matters blog. It is my hope that this blog helps bring attention to and promote civil justice issues. My law practice at the Bernstein Law Firm is dedicated to representing clients who have been the victims of corporate carelessness or, in the worst cases, greed. I see how insurance companies put profit ahead of people all the time. How government agencies fail to live up to their responsibilities to protect the public.
Like every member of our Michigan law firm, I am deeply involved in the pursuit of a social justice agenda - an agenda that seeks social and economic security.
I am guided by the words of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel who said that "In a democracy some are guilty but we are all responsible." This statement rings true today and motivates our work. We feel intensely responsible at our law firm. We hope to help address these issues in this blog.
